Launched in 2016, the SoochnaPreneur model of digital development is a community-driven, hyperlocal approach designed to bridge the digital divide, particularly in the last mile. Central to the model are local women social entrepreneurs in rural, marginalized, and underserved regions, called SoochnaPreneurs ("Information Entrepreneurs"), who are equipped with digital tools, skills, and infrastructure to enable access to information, literacy, and resources within their communities. The model focuses on training and empowering rural women to become digital entrepreneurs, strengthening a sense of ownership and leadership within the community.

SoochnaPreneurs provide digital literacy, facilitating access to critical information on e-governance, welfare schemes, health, education, livelihood, financial services, and more, addressing the specific needs of their local communities. Services are delivered with empathy and transparency, ensuring affordable access to digital resources. The model operates at the village level, offering hyperlocal and decentralized solutions that directly address the challenges faced by rural populations. It promotes the development of a self-sustaining entrepreneurial ecosystem where local entrepreneurs drive their communities' digital and economic growth. The SoochnaPreneur model, overall, leverages digital tools and local leadership to create lasting meaningful change, promoting socioeconomic empowerment and digital equity among rural and marginalized citizens and communities.
