“After losing my job in a bank due to an unfortunate accident, my family went through severe financial difficulties. Both my husband and I are physically disabled, and we had to depend only on our pensions to survive. I was not aware of digital services like Ayushman Bharat health card creation, or online documentation services. After joining DEF and setting up my digital centre, I started providing xerox, printing, and PAN card services in my community. Today, I am also offering Aadhaar and ration card downloads, as well as conducting digital literacy and financial awareness training for community members. This opportunity has helped me become self-reliant and support my family with dignity.”

SoochnaPreneur Dasari Chandrakala shares her journey of becoming a community digital enabler in Devender Nagar, Uppal, Telangana.

Despite facing physical disability and financial hardship, Dasari established a digital service centre with support from the EquallyAble Foundation and Digital Empowerment Foundation, enabling essential services to reach her community. Her initiative has significantly reduced the digital gap and improved access to government and essential digital services at the grassroots level.
